The
Crime Prevention Foundation increases public awareness of and provides financial assistance to crime prevention programs in Brown County. Financial support is given to existing programs and for the implementation of new crime prevention programs that break the crime triangle.
For a crime to occur, these three elements are necessary:
- DESIRE to commit the crime
- ABILITY to commit the crime
- OPPORTUNITY to commit the crime
Successful crime prevention programs directly impact one of these three elements.
