Scholarships at GGBCF

 

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation administers more than 100 scholarships annually. 

Through the generosity of our donors, scholarship awards range from $500 to $40,000 and are based on a variety of criteria — from need, academics or planned major, to volunteer service, athletic participation or commitment to the community. 

Scholarships are awarded primarily to students in northeast Wisconsin pursuing a technical college or university degree.

With one online application, students are in the running for all eligible Community Foundation awards.

John R. & Jean M. Zegers Family Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

Applicants must be a graduating senior or past graduate of West De Pere High School attending a two or four year fully accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Award Criteria

Exhibits a strong work ethic and commitment to goals; demonstrates the drive to succeed in their future education and career goals. Embraces positivism, responsibility, belief, harmony, and consistency to achieve goals.

Demonstrates core values of Faith, Family, and Jobs (inclusive of participation in clubs, employment, extracurricular activities and volunteerism).

Applicants will be asked to respond to the following short essay: How have you modeled the FISH Philosophy and how do you envision yourself applying this philosophy to your college education and life?

Priority is given to students pursuing a career in education or healthcare.

Consideration is given to students with financial need.

It is Community Foundation policy that all portions of the scholarship process be completed by the student applicant. If we learn that any part of the process is not completed by or the work of the student, the application may be removed from consideration or an awarded scholarship revoked.
