U.S. Oil covers event costs; 100% of the proceeds benefit the U.S. Oil Fund for Basic Needs

Over 600 golfers hit the links at four area golf courses August 12, 2009 to participate in the U.S. Oil Open. The event raised $1.452 million—breaking last year’s record total of $1.2 million. Proceeds from the event go to the U.S. Oil Fund for Basic Needs at the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and two other regional community foundations. The community foundations award grants through the Basic Needs Giving Partnership to organizations that work together to address the root causes of poverty in the region.
