About Us
Since 1991, we have been working with donors to make long-term investments that strengthen our community. We are a non-profit corporation overseen by a local, volunteer board of directors and serviced by a group of dedicated staff with expertise and knowledge to help people who care make a difference for our community. Our service area is Greater Green Bay, including Brown, Kewaunee, and Oconto counties, and we work with other foundations to service northeastern Wisconsin.

Our grants support non-profit organizations, between 400-500 each year, who deliver programs and services for basic needs, education, arts and culture, the environment, and more. We help donors exercise thoughtful and tactical philanthropy by doing rigorous financial and program analysis of our grantees and sharing our knowledge about our community’s challenges and most effective non-profits.We bring donors together to increase each donor’s impact and we work with government, foundations, and non-profits to address critical issues.

Through the effective use of our endowment, we develop and enhance the quality of life for the members of our community by:
  • serving donors by providing a flexible and responsive vehicle for their charitable interests.
  • using resources wisely and efficiently through sensitive and creative grants addressing the emerging and changing needs of the community in the areas of the arts, education, health and human services, the youth and elderly, and resource conservation and preservation.
  • demonstrating community leadership by acting as a catalyst in identifying community needs and opportunities and sharing information with other foundations, corporations and organizations, both private and non-profit, to shape effective responses to those needs.
  • acting as a responsible solicitor and prudent manager of philanthropic assets created by charitable gifts and bequests.
