There are many ways to give. Attending a local fundraiser is a simple, easy way to support a charitable cause and share your philanthropic spirit. If you are a fun-loving philanthropist at heart, please use our Calendar of Events below to learn about FUN-draisers that support 501(c)(3) nonprofits in Brown, Oconto and Kewaunee counties. You can also use our online calendar to track grant application deadlines and educational events sponsored by the Community Foundation.

Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships benefit the Einstein Project.

The science behind everyday events and careers come alive at the annual The Einstein Project Science Expo presented by Schreiber Foods and Wisconsin Public Service on Saturday, March 13, 2010. This day for kids and their parents is packed full of activities for children to engage in hands-on explorations Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, Technology/Engineering, Space/Flight, Forensics, and Environmental Science. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is $2 for adults and $4 for children (3-18; age 2 and under are free).

 

The Ameriprise Science Fair is held in conjunction with the Science Expo. The deadline for entering the Ameriprise Science Fair is February 5, 2010. The Einstein Project encourages students in grades 2 through 8 to participate in the Ameriprise Science Fair which will culminate on Saturday, March 13, 2010 during the Science Expo at Shopko Hall. All participants receive a certificate, goody bag, and two tickets to the Expo. The 6th through 8th graders are eligible to have their projects judged and win cash prizes!


Students can exhibit in the Science Fair as individuals, small groups or class projects in the following scientific categories: Life Science; Physical Science; Engineering; Earth and Space Science; or Renewable Resources.


Registration forms, display and safety regulations and judging criteria can be found online at
www.einsteinproject.org under “Events/News”, or by calling The Einstein Project at 920-884-8800. Registration forms are due back to The Einstein Project by the extended date of February 5, 2010.
