Community Impact
We are proud of the many accomplishments of the organizations that receive funding, as well as the donors who provide funding to meet the needs of our community. While it is not possible to share all of our good news stories, we hope that you will find those we have chosen to tell to be inspiring.
Arts & Culture

The Neville Public Museum is one of the many great arts and culture offerings in Brown County. In 2010 alone, the Neville sold 131,636 tickets museum patrons.
Education

Journeys Club Adult Day Services Program was established by N.E.W. Curative Rehabilitation Inc. and Kewaunee County Human Services to provide activities and socialization to adults and respite care for family caregivers.
Literacy Green Bay, formerly the Literacy Council of Brown County, was formed in 1981 as an adult tutoring program for Southeast Asian refugees. The organization has expanded programming to include undereducated English-speaking adults and adults and families of all ethnicities.
Health

The Dental Health Expansion Project, which began in the summer of 2008, has increased access to dental care for children and adults who are on Medical Assistance or uninsured. The program is a result of the partnership between Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and the Brown County Oral Health Partnership.
Human Services

Hmong elders are being engaged through a program offered by N.E.W. Curative Rehabilitation Inc. at the Cloud Family Care Center.
The Wheels II Program is a collaborative effort made possible through the commitment of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, NEWCAP, Inc., the Oconto County Commission on Aging, and Options for Independent Living. The program received a grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.
CASA of Brown County – a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization – recruits, screens, and trains everyday citizens from the community to be the voice of abused and neglected children in the courtroom.
The ultimate goal of the Child Advocacy Center is to break the cycle of child abuse by focusing on meeting the needs of its youngest victims and their families. The CAC will be a child-friendly, home-like facility where seven local nonprofits already involved in child abuse cases work together to provide comprehensive care.
