Crime Prevention Foundation Grant Cycle

The Crime Prevention Foundation increases public awareness of and provides financial assistance to crime prevention programs in Brown County, Wisconsin.

Past Recipients

Financial support is given to existing programs and for the implementation of new crime prevention programs that break the crime triangle.

For a crime to occur, these three elements are necessary:
1. DESIRE to commit the crime;
2. ABILITY to commit the crime; and
3. OPPORTUNITY to commit the crime.

Successful crime prevention programs directly impact one of these three elements.

Qualified applicants: The program or project must aim to reduce or eliminate at least one of these three elements. Qualified applicants include non-profit organizations, government agencies, schools, and school districts operating in Brown County. Grants will not be awarded to individuals. Grant funds should not be used to supplant funds from an organization’s operating budget.

Grant Awards: Grants range from $500 to $3,000 with the average being $1,000.

Application Details: Deadline is June 15. Grant recipients will be announced mid-August. If the deadline is on a weekend or holiday, applications are due on the last business day prior to the deadline.

Final Report:  Successful applicants will be required to complete a brief follow-up report at the end of the project or grant period.

Deadline: June 15
