GGBCF has awarded 13 grants to local non-profit programs serving the youth, elderly, and low income, as well as a consortium of arts and culture organizations.

GGBCF recently received notification that it is one of only 89 community foundations thus far to receive reconfirmation of compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations which demonstrates that the Community Foundation meets the nation’s highest philanthropic standards for operational quality, integrity, and accountability.

GGBCF has announced that they are accepting grant proposals for the Basic Needs Giving Partnership. The Basic Needs Giving Partnership, which is a partnership of the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs at the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, the J.J. Keller Foundation, and numerous community donors, aims to address the root causes of poverty, support long term solutions to move people out of poverty, and assist those with limited capacity, such as the low-income elderly or significantly disabled, to maintain a stable and dignified quality of life.

Local giving and philanthropy delivered by the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation resulted in major impacts throughout Brown, Oconto, and Kewaunee counties for Fiscal Year 2011, which ended on June 30, 2011.

The Crime Prevention Foundation Fund, a fund of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, has awarded eight grants, totaling almost $12,000, along with partner donors to local non-profit and government programs.
