Since the Community Foundation's inception, we have awarded over $1.5 million of scholarships to area students to attend post-secondary institutions. The Community Foundation, in partnership with Scholarships Inc., administers thirty-seven scholarship programs that provide approximately $200,000 a year in educational assistance to worthy students. Listed below are a few of the Community Foundation scholarship funds for area high school students who will be pursuing post-secondary education. Scholarship Name: The Anton and Lottie Delmont ScholarshipAmount: $9,000 for one yearFields of Study: All Majors AcceptedRequirements: Applicants must be students from Green Bay or De Pere who are pursing a program of study at a college or university. Scholarships are awarded based on students’ academic achievement, record of community service and extracurricular activities. Scholarship Name: Emil & Gail Fischer Northeast Wisconsin Master Gardeners Annual Award and N.E.W. Gardeners Association Horticulture ScholarshipAmount: Minimum of $1,000/year for Fischer and no less than $400 per student for N.E.W. Masters GardenerFields of Study: Horticulture-related field (Botany and plant ecology, horticulture science, forestry, entomology or plant pathology)Requirements: Students must attend a two or four-year fully accredited college or university and demonstrate financial need. Applicant must have been residing for at least one year in Northeast Wisconsin, which includes Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Oconto, Shawano, Outagamie, or Manitowoc Counties, and be a state of Wisconsin resident. The scholarship is available to those attending the most selective universities in the nation. A list of those qualifying universities and colleges will be provided upon request. Annual payments of $500 per year to be applied toward the cost of any four-year college or university for tuition and educational expenses. Three new scholarships will be awarded annually, with the possibility of scholarship award renewal.
