Scholarships at GGBCF

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation administers more than 100 scholarships annually.

Through the generosity of our donors, scholarship awards range from $500 to $40,000 and are based on a variety of criteria — from need, academics or planned major, to volunteer service, athletic participation or commitment to the community.

Scholarships are awarded primarily to students in northeast Wisconsin pursuing a technical college or university degree.

With one online application, students are in the running for all eligible Community Foundation awards. Apply for Scholarships

Dawne Cramer Memorial Scholarship

About Dawne: Dawne M. Cramer served as a "Parkee" in the summer during her college years; she knew this work was "her calling". Shortly after graduating from UW-La Crosse, she continued her career journey with the Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department.  Dawne was initially hired as a Recreation Program Supervisor, and was quickly promoted to Superintendent before being appointed by Mayor Jim Schmidt as the Director of the Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department. She proudly and passionately served the Greater Green Bay Community for over 40 years, touching the lives of countless individuals, especially children, leaving behind an enduring legacy. Dawne left her position only upon her death, after her nearly four-year fight with cancer.

Applicant must be a graduating senior or a past graduate of a Green Bay High School, planning on or currently attending an accredited two or four-year college or university, a minimum 2.7 cumulative high school GPA, and minimum two seasons of employment as a Green Bay parks Department employee in any of the following roles: Parkee, Life Guard, or Bay Beach employee.
