$100,000,000 Granted Through the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and its donors have granted $100 million to improve lives in our communities.

The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and its donors have granted $100 million to improve lives in our communities. This milestone was achieved as part of the recent Funds for Greater Green Bay grant cycle, a grants program of the Foundation.

The Community Foundation partners with local donors to support important initiatives with the aim of building a vibrant and thriving community. These $100 million, over the last 26 years, have funded programs to feed children, improve our neighborhoods, educate students, protect our environment, take care of our elderly, provide shelters, grow arts and culture opportunities, improve public safety and protect the most vulnerable of our community.

“Granting $100 million to meet the diverse needs of our community is a collective milestone.” said Dennis Buehler, President and CEO of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. “With every issue, cause, discussion, and grant made, a path is laid toward solutions that make us a stronger community for the next generation.”

The Community Foundation was created 26 years ago by a small group of community-minded individuals who saw the need to create a resource for planning and coordination between community groups, government, businesses and individuals. Today, The Foundation invests and stewards the $110 million community endowment to make impactful grants while preserving the resource for generations to come. In 2016, The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation granted over $7.6 million to local agencies.
