Give BIG Green Bay returns in 2021 for fourth community-wide giving day

October 1, 2020 - In the last three years, Give BIG Green Bay has raised $3.4 million dollars for local nonprofits. The 24-hour online giving day is back to support the nonprofits serving our community. Applications are being accepted from October 1 through October 31, 2020, for participation in the February 16 & 17, 2021, event.

Effort to eradicate homelessness in Brown County gaining momentum

September 30, 2020 - A community-wide effort to prevent and end homelessness in Brown County is gaining momentum. Community partners, including the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, Brown County United Way, City of Green Bay, Brown County, and the Brown County Homeless and Housing Coalition have come together and committed to leveraging local and national resources to accomplish this aggressive, but realistic goal.

$1.7 million in additional funding available for local nonprofits through the Basic Needs Giving Partnership

Monday, July 20, 2020 - In response to the growing health and economic needs due the pandemic, regional leaders of the Basic Needs Giving Partnership have made an additional $5 million immediately available to nonprofits through the community foundations in Green Bay, Fox Valley and Oshkosh.

Amanda Gay joins Greater Green Bay Community Foundation: Serving key role with the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay

June 1, 2020 – Amanda Gay joins the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation’s team as the Communications Program Officer. In her role, Amanda executes the Foundation’s communication, public relations, and event plans. Additionally, she provides support for the Women’s Fund Advisory Board and assists with execution of initiatives for the communications, fund development, education, and events committees.

Community Foundation encourages applications from nonprofits in Oconto & Kewaunee counties facing strain of COVID-19

April 27, 2020 - The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation is seeking applications from nonprofits in Oconto and Kewaunee counties in need of funding to support increased service demands due to the strain of COVID-19. Funds are currently being directed to organizations supporting the critical basic needs of community members.

More than $575,000 deployed to help those most affected by the COVID-19 crisis

April 20, 2020 - Community response funds continue to support basic needs including food security, safe shelter, transportation and access to care. More than 2.5 million has been committed to the response funds to date.
