Community Initiatives

Together, we make a

stronger

impact

The Community Foundation brings people together to create solutions that strengthen our community. We amplify needs and provide opportunities to make a difference through innovative programs, community initiatives, and collective impact work.

Here are some of the ways we accomplish more together:

Innovative

programs

Nonprofit Impact Initiative

The Nonprofit Impact Initiative is a collaborative program supporting the long-term health of our community’s nonprofits. It includes capacity-building grants, group learning sessions, and educational tools. These supports open doors to stronger management, better strategic planning, and enhanced fundraising capabilities — boosting the overall impact of each organization.

Give BIG Green Bay

Give BIG Green Bay is a community-wide giving day hosted in February in partnership with the Green Bay Packers. It provides a simple online platform for anyone to learn about the work of participating nonprofits and donate, at any level, to support the causes they champion. The event has generated more than $17 million since launching in 2018. The Community Foundation underwrites all program expenses so that every dollar goes directly to the participating nonprofits.

Community

initiatives

Community initiatives are established in partnership with local leaders, nonprofits, businesses and other philanthropies. Together, we pursue long-term solutions to our community’s toughest challenges.

The Community Housing Initiative brought key stakeholders together to better understand the growing issue of homelessness and collaborate to develop long-term solutions. From this work, the Greater Green Bay Blueprint to Prevent and End Homelessness was born and continues to be implemented.
