The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation awards grants to improve the quality of life in Brown, Kewaunee, and Oconto counties.

Please review the steps to our grants process and reach out to the Community Impact Team to discuss your grants request in advance of applying.

Application Timeline:
Winter Cycle: Opens November 1 – Closes January 11
Summer Cycle: Opens May 1 – Closes July 1
Award Amounts: Up to $20,000
Purpose:  This general granting program is open to all nonprofits.  We consider all proposals, with priority to requests that align with the following community focus areas:  arts and culture, basic needs, education, environment and conservation, health and wellness, human services, older adults, public benefit and community improvement, and youth development.

Application Timeline:
Winter Cycle: Opens November 1 – Closes January 11
Summer Cycle: Opens May 1 – Closes July 1
Award Amounts: Up to $20,000
Purpose: This grants program funds leadership and self-esteem initiatives for women and girls. We encourage and give priority to creative proposals that support leadership and self-esteem initiatives for women and girls in northeast Wisconsin.

Application Timeline: Opens January 15 – Closes March 15
Award Amounts: Typically up to $2,000
Purpose: This program funds projects initiated by staff, students, and parents in the Ashwaubenon School District that develop and inspire students to be model community and world citizens.

Application Timeline:
Spring Cycle: Opens February 1 – Closes April 15
Fall Cycle: Opens August 1 – Closes October 15
Award Amounts: Up to $7,500
Purpose: This program will provide grants for capacity-building initiatives identified and submitted by nonprofit organizations serving communities in Northeast Wisconsin, specifically, Brown, Door, Kewaunee and Oconto counties.  Learn more about this initiative

Application Timeline: Opens March 15 – Closes May 16
Award Amounts: Up to $25,000
Purpose: These funds are for projects that help older adults who live north of Sturgeon Bay in Door County remain in their homes.

Application Timeline: Opens April 30 – Closes June 30
Award Amounts:  Up to $3,000
Purpose: This program funds projects in Brown County that reduce or eliminate the desire, ability or opportunity to commit a crime.

Application Timeline: Opens August 1 – Closes October 1
Award Amounts: Up to $225,000 over three years
Purpose: This grants program funds measurable strategies to move people from the brink of poverty to a place of economic stability and self-sufficiency. All proposals are encouraged, with priority given to requests that address housing stability, education and workforce development, and human services and basic needs programs addressing the root causes of poverty.

Application Timeline: Opens August 1 – Closes October 15
Award Amounts: Typically up to $1,000
Purpose: This grants program funds projects initiated by staff, students or parents in the Green Bay Area Public School District that implement innovative or enhanced learning activities.
