Amanda Gay joins Greater Green Bay Community Foundation: Serving key role with the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay

June 1, 2020 – Amanda Gay joins the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation’s team as the Communications Program Officer. In her role, Amanda executes the Foundation’s communication, public relations, and event plans. Additionally, she provides support for the Women’s Fund Advisory Board and assists with execution of initiatives for the communications, fund development, education, and events committees.

“The expansion of our team allows the Foundation to broaden awareness of the needs within our community, to highlight the nonprofits addressing those needs and to encourage everyone to participate in making our community a safe and healthy place, today and for future generations,” said Therese Woelfel, Vice President Donor Engagement & Strategic Communications.

The Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay is a Field of Interest Fund of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation with its own volunteer advisory board. The fund distributes grant dollars to local nonprofits supporting local leadership and self-esteem initiatives to empower women and inspire girls.

“The Women’s Fund is delighted to have Amanda playing a key role for the Fund. We value the opportunity to have Amanda partner with our dedicated volunteers to serve both the Women’s Fund and our community, and look forward to the contributions she will bring in the future,” said Kate Hogan, President Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay.

Amanda previously served as the Director of Special Events for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay, and most recently as the Communications and Special Event Coordinator for Golden House. Her background in public speaking, nonprofit stewardship and development, along with her strong community ties, uniquely positions her to advance the mission of amplifying the needs in our community, while enhancing the strategic positioning of both the Foundation and the Women’s Fund.
