Community Needs
Escalating Community Needs
Transportation
Public transportation helps bridge the divide between people and jobs, services, and training opportunities. Safe, reliable, low-cost transportation services are critical to employment and the health and wellbeing of a community. Building infrastructure that provides options by foot, bike, and vehicle influences the ability of individuals to access needed services and maintain a stable lifestyle.

47% of Brown County residents have unfavorable views of our transportation systems (roads, traffic, buses, bike trails).
Green Bay Metro Transit identified the lack of frequency and late-night services as not effectively meeting the needs of shift- oriented workers and employers.
There is a place and space for improvement of our community’s transportation infrastructure. Through collaborations with transportation partners like the Wisconsin Bike Federation and support of collective efforts of Wello, and the funding of transportation solutions that connect people to the resources they need, we are paving the way to improvement.
