The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation’s Funds for Greater Green Bay recently granted more than $130,000 to the following programs:

Bellin Health Foundation
Population Health Partnership: A pilot to optimize community performance for persons with disabilities and frail older adults through a coordinated person-centered plan of supports and care provided by several organizations.

Best Buddies International
Brown County Chapter Support at St. Norbert College: Matches students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities in friendship. Students with disabilities learn social skills that give them confidence and aid in their employability and self-sufficiency, while the school and community benefit from a culture of acceptance and inclusion.

Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay
LitART: Literacy curriculum designed to engage youth who are underperformers in reading and writing, infusing the arts into activities as an intentional engagement strategy to incorporate various student learning styles and reading abilities.

Center for Independent Documentary
Documentary Film “Will I Be Next?”: A documentary, involving two Green Bay-area producers, telling the stories of participants in the largest family history research study in the world focused on finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. The film looks at the impact of the disease, how medical research works, and what findings are emerging.

Clarity Care, Inc.
Help At Home: Low-cost supportive home care for individuals whose incomes are at or below 350% of the federal poverty level, are not eligible for government assistance, and need care based on an infirmity or disability due to aging, traumatic brain injury, physical or developmental disability or degenerative medical diagnosis.

Curative Connections
AT Home with Dementia: A program to improve the well-being, health and safety of those with dementia and their caregivers.
Community-Based Pre-Vocational Training Program: A new employment training program for people with significant disabilities in community places of employment, providing a more natural setting, offering at least minimum wage and creating opportunities for relationships with those without disabilities.

Golden House
Legal Advocacy and Services for Victims of Domestic Violence: Civil legal services to Brown County’s domestic violence survivors in a collaborative venture with Legal Action of Wisconsin to address the barriers to safety and health, independence, self-sufficiency, and healing.

Greater Green Bay Chamber Foundation
Find Your Inspiration-Exploring Careers of Greater Green Bay: Inspire 8th-grade students to explore careers in an engaging format connecting careers to skills and education pathways and showcases area businesses to students to provide an understanding of career opportunities in greater Green Bay.

Greater Green Bay YMCA, Inc.
Literacy in ACTion: A theatre experience for at-risk students in the YMCA after-school programs at Howe, Eisenhower, Sullivan, Doty and Tank elementary schools through a partnership with the Birder Theatre to increase literacy and improve social emotional learning.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Educational Foundation
Memory Café: Socialization opportunities for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers, connecting attendees to resources and increasing memory loss awareness to support the development of a dementia-friendly community.

Ovarian Cancer Community Outreach Inc.
Program support: Assists women in Northeast Wisconsin undergoing treatment for ovarian/gynecological cancers who are 200% or less of the federal poverty level and need assistance for living expenses.

Prevent Blindness Wisconsin
Head Start Vision Health Program: In collaboration with Green Bay Area Public Schools’ Head Start program, a comprehensive vision health system of care, to ensure low-income, at-risk children receive a proper screening and those who fail the screening receive a referral for an eye examination along with education for parents, teachers, and children.

VA Healthcare Clinic
Stepping Out: A falls-prevention project for veterans who have experienced mild declines in cognitive function, helping veterans with cognitive declines maintain independence, health, and well-being.

Volunteer Center Inc. of Brown County

Corporate Volunteer Expansion Effort: Mobilization of thousands more corporate volunteers and increased corporate financial support through survey and catalog of existing corporate volunteer efforts, expansion of corporate volunteerism through corporate visits, marketing and promotional efforts, and a new database technology that offers corporations a custom and branded volunteer portal.
