21st Annual Powerful Event to Feature World-Class Athlete & Paralympian, Alana Nichols

The Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay’s signature fundraising event will take place on September 17, 2026

July 23, 2026 — Join the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay on September 17, 2026, for the 21st annual Powerful event, as we celebrate stories of inspiration and welcome our empowering and dynamic keynote speaker, Alana Nichols.  Her story of grit, resilience, and unstoppable determination will leave you inspired long after the event ends.

After suffering a spinal cord injury at age 17 while attempting a back flip on her snowboard, Alana quickly transitioned to adaptive sports. She is a five-time Paralympian (2008-2016), a six-time medalist, and is the first American woman to win gold medals at both Summer (Wheelchair Basketball) and Winter (Alpine Ski Racing) Games. She tackled her third Paralympic sport in 2016, competing in Paracanoe at the Rio 2016 Games. Alana serves on the board at ESPN, The Women’s Sports Foundation, and is an advocate of sporting opportunities for girls, women, and people with disabilities.

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly. Doors for Powerful at the Resch Expo will open at 10:00 a.m. for networking, to view the silent auction, and to purchase raffle tickets. Lunch will begin at 11:00 a.m., with the program featuring Nichols to follow. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit wfpower26.givesmart.com.
