Stand Together Foundation joins the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation’s family of funds
May 3, 2018 – A group of community-minded individuals is joining forces with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation to build on efforts to transform the lives of low-income adults, youth and families in the greater Green Bay area. Through this collaboration with the newly formed Stand Together Foundation, approximately $250,000 will be granted annually to nonprofit organizations helping move people from the brink of poverty to a place of economic stability and self-sufficiency. Priorities will include housing, education, workforce development, and basic needs.
“The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation has long maintained a strong commitment to collaborative efforts that align with community need, and we are grateful for the generosity of visionary leaders like those at the Stand Together Foundation,” said Dennis Buehler, President and CEO of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. “Stand Together Foundation’s generous investment in our community, combined with the grantmaking expertise and community knowledge of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, generates a 25% increase in available grant dollars to amplify our nonprofit organizations’ efforts to address poverty.”
The Community Foundation’s grants programs are responsive to the evolving needs of the community, and each program funds proven or promising initiatives that seek to deepen impact and support collaboration. The Stand Together Foundation’s grantmaking program is a significant addition of resources to the community.
“We’re a group of community-minded individuals committed to creating better communities today, tomorrow and for generations,” said Tom Selk, president of the Stand Together Foundation. “Our mission is to work collaboratively with nonprofit agencies by funding lasting solutions for those in need in our community. The expertise of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation allows us to make the greatest impact with our funds.”
The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation will begin accepting applications for this grants program June 1 with a deadline of October 1 for submissions.
