Greater Green Bay Community Foundation Announces Retirement, Succession & Continued Growth

March 1, 2022 – The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation today announced that Therese Woelfel, Vice President Donor Engagement & Strategic Communications, will retire effective April 15, 2022.

During Woelfel’s tenure as a senior leader of the Community Foundation, she played a critical role in the stewardship of donors and community partners and served as the liaison for the Foundation’s Professional Advisor Committee and Women’s Fund Executive Committee. Additionally, she was instrumental in expanding the Foundation’s brand and outreach efforts.

“Over the past five years, Therese has been a mentor to many, and her influence has made on indelible impact on our team,” said Dennis Buehler, President and CEO, Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. “We thank her for her thoughtful leadership and dedication to our community.”

Upon Woelfel’s retirement, Annie Dart will be promoted to the Foundation’s senior leadership team as Vice President Donor Relations & Strategic Communications. Since joining the Community Foundation in 2015, Dart has worked closely with our donor and professional advisor community to ensure every contribution is positioned to make the greatest impact. Additionally, she has taken significant leadership roles in the development of Give BIG Green Bay, in partnership with the Green Bay Packers, the Greater Green Bay Community Hub – a data resource extending from the community-wide LIFE Study, and the Foundation’s local granting and co-investment programs.

“As we look to the future, we see an opportunity to deepen the connection between people who want to make a difference and the needs of our community,” said Dart. “Working together we can create hope, improve lives, and make our community a better place for everyone. This work is important for our community, and I feel honored to be a part of it.”
