Greater Green Bay Community Foundation Awards $473,00 in Scholarships

May 13, 2026 – Ninety students are heading to college with the support of scholarships awarded through the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.

The Foundation stewards 47 scholarship funds on behalf of donors who wish to support students pursuing education beyond high school, including community colleges, four-year institutions, and technical or trade programs. This year, $473,760 was awarded to students with a range of financial needs, academic achievements, community service, athletic participation, and intended fields of study. Award amounts range from $700 to $50,000. More than half of this year’s awarded scholars demonstrated significant financial need and 39% are first-generation college students.

Each of these scholarships reflects a donor’s values and hopes for the future, and we work to honor that in every scholarship award we make,” said Kari Olsen, Director of Grants and Scholarship Programming. “This fall, 90 students will walk onto campuses and into classrooms knowing their community is invested in their success.”

Applications for scholarships through the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation open annually on December 1. Students, teachers, and school counselors are encouraged to learn more about the scholarships offered at ggbcf.org/students and reach out with any questions.
